Kurt couldn't help blushing as his new boyfriend was escorting him home, and Blaine had noticed.
"What's the rouge for, darling?" Blaine was chuckling a bit, smiled and winked, making his own face turn red.
"Well," Kurt had to clear his throat, "it's my dad. He's always known that I was gay, even before I told him, but..." He didn't want to say what was on his mind, even though the thought had been nagging at him since Blaine volunteered to walk Kurt home.
Blaine sighed, but gave a reassuring smile, gently intertwining his own fingers with Kurt's. "I understand that you're worried about your dad's reaction to you actually bringing another boy home."
Kurt raised an eyebrow, and all Blaine did was wink to melt him into another blush fest. "Let's just say that MY father was quite surprised, considering I was quite the Ladies' Man in his eyes. He wanted to believe that I was like him in every way..." His eyes fell to the ground, an odd new feeling in the air, making both boys feel a bit uncomfortable.
Kurt broke the silence by tugging his own arm over, forcing Blaine's along with it, bringing the two closer as they walked. "When I finally came out to my dad? He at least knew. I was trying to be all butch for about a week, and I even made out with Brittany." He giggled, "Well, Dad was excepting of me because he loves me. Not to mention that we've only had each other since my mother died, but he's always been there for me, and I was happy." He gave Blaine a sympathetic smile. "I'm sorry that your dad didn't take it as well."
"It's fine, I promise, darling." Blaine took Kurt's hand in both of his own, caressing it with both thumbs. "Let's just hope that your dad will accept me more easily than my dad had MY first beau."
Kurt sighed, hoping the same thing before realizing they were about to pass his house.
"Oh!" He blinked, and stopped walking, Blaine's crisp walk gently pulling their hands apart. "This is my house." He nervously chuckled, "I've never been so distracted on my walk back, you know?"
Burt Hummel was in the garage with the door open, working on a car, which was normal, of course.
Kurt cleared his throat to catch his father's attention.
When his father started to turn around, Kurt began.
"Dad, this is Blaine, and, Blaine, this is my dad."
"Burt Hummel, nice to meet you, Blaine." He stuck out his hand to see grease coating the fingertips.
Blaine shook the outstretched hand before Burt had a chance to wipe it off. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Hummel." He gave an enchanting smile.
"Excuse me for a second, guys..." Kurt's dad rushed off to wash his hands, just a bit too late.
Kurt looked at Blaine inquisitively, "What was that, then?"
Blaine blushed, "No regrets," and winked. "Besides, my dad's pretty handy with cars, and taught me everything he knew."
He pulled a rag out of a pile and wiped his hands with the few oil free spots he could find.
"You could use the sink, Blaine." Kurt's dad returned just then, smiling like Kurt hadn't seen in a while.
He's even chuckling, he thought to himself.
"Kurt, you can bring him inside; I won't stop you, I promise."
"Okay, Dad." Kurt rushed Blaine in, quickly sputtering to his father "Just wanted you to meet a friend and know we have company!"
Burt chuckled to himself before going back to his work, "My son, quite the man's man."

"Oh, hello Headmistress," Kurt lifted his gaze from the parchment paper he was doodling on to look to the front of the Charms classroom. Professor McGonagall was standing with her hand on the shoulder of a short boy whose hair was slicked back with way too much product. Kurt couldn't help but realize, as he continued his gaze downward that the boy pulled it off much better than Professor Schuester. When he reached the boy's hazel eyes, Kurt froze. He looked so nervous, and he was blushing from being put on the spot, but his eyes. Kurt felt like he was going to get lost in their warm hazel color. When the Headmistress began to speak again, he

Over the month week Kurt watched Blaine become more and more comfortable at Hogwarts. He was the type of person that made friends easily, that was obvious, and so by the end of the first week it was already like he had been here since first year. Kurt was a bit envious over how easily Blaine could gain friends; how none of them seemed to care he was gay like they did with Kurt.
"You're staring again, boo," Mercedes said from beside him, causing Kurt to snap out of his thoughts.
"What?"
"You were staring at him again," Mercedes repeated, "Something's bugging you."
Kurt waved her off, "It's nothing, 'Cedes."
She raised an eyebrow, but di

As it got closer to Christmas, Blaine watched Kurt and Oliver get closer and closer. Everyone in their group of misfits seemed to be ecstatic for Kurt, and he was starting to feel like he was the only one who thought this was just going to end in tears. But a week before Christmas found Blaine reading a novel one of his old friends sent him by the fire in the Gryffindor commons. Puck was across from him playing chess with Rachel, who was clearly winning. They all looked up when the portrait door swung open to reveal a very happy Kurt.
"Hey princess," Puck said with a nod, apparently the only one who didn't realize Kurt's mood.
