After Brittany and Santana were done with their secret song, Artie decided that it was his turn.
He chose the song "Dancing Through Life" from the musical Wicked. He and Rachel did the small dialogue that was sprinkled throughout, and he did some of his signature wheelchair dance moves.
With two presentations in one go, Schuester decided that the club was over for the day.
Everyone got out of their chairs to swarm together and talk.
"I thought that you girls had it a little easier to do this than I did," Artie confessed to the group, mainly to Britt and Santana, "I mean, you're able to do whatever, but I really want to be able to dance and walk again."
Blaine was on it, a warm, nearly apologetic smile on his face. "Artie, I'm sure that you'll be able to anything in the future, the way that medical science and technology works today."
Kurt chimed in, " Not to mention the research that's going into paralysis and limb replacements, ya know?" He tried a smile to match the warmth radiating from Blaine, but Kurt just looked awkward for a few seconds, making everyone giggle.
"Alright, guys," Mr. Schue was standing at the door, "I know this choir room is special and all, but I have to grade Spanish tests tonight."
With everyone in the hallway, the glee kids split up, going separate ways, Kurt and Blaine going a different way than everyone else, arms locked.
In hindsight, that was not a great idea.
Kurt lead Blaine to his own locker, no one else was in sight. He twisted the combo into his lock, removed it, and lightly opened his locker.
"Uhhhh," Kurt blushed, seeing the picture of Blaine in his locker as well as the "courage" collage he had on his locker door. He couldn't do anything but stand there, mouth open, trying to think of a way to explain his locker to Blaine.
Blaine cocked an eyebrow, a mischievous grin formed on his face. "What are you hiding in there, Kurt?" He giggled a bit at the look Kurt was giving.
"Well, uh, don't judge, okay?"
Blaine came closer. "Do I ever?" He guided the door open, and smiled warmly. "Awwww," he pinched Kurt's cheek lightly, somewhat mockingly. "Looks like someone had a crush before I thought he did!" Blaine winked.
"So," Kurt blushed harder, "you don't see it as having stalker qualities or anything like that?"
Blaine thought for a moment, which wasn't reassuring to poor Kurt at all. Then, he embraced his bright red boyfriend gently. "No, it's stalkery sweet, Kurt."
Kurt tensed, but laughed with Blaine, and pushed him away a little. "You suck. You know that, right?" He giggled a bit with nervousness, just standing and looking into Blaine's eyes, routinely looking away and blushing harder.
"Well," Blaine had a devilish, yet playful look on his face, "Only if you want me to."
The two looked into each others eyes for a few awkward moments...
...and simultaneously burst out laughing.
Kurt pulled his needed books and folders out of his locker, put them into his messenger bag, and replaced the lock on the door. When he closed it, Blaine had another goofy, playful look on his face.
"Your place or mine now?" He leaned his back against the lockers, snickering to himself.
"Which ever one is good for you, I guess." Kurt sighed, and wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck, resting his face on the slightly muscled chest before him. "I just need out of this school..."
"Why? I don't see what's really wrong with it..."
Like as if on cue, the football players marched past the two, headed toward the field, and Kurt jumped away when he heard the laughs.
"Hey, Homo! Get a room with your new boyfriend!"
It was Karofsky.
Kurt winced, pain and anger coursing through his veins. It had to be Karofsky, didn't it? he thought to himself.
Blaine looked for a moment, then whispered to Kurt. "Isn't that the guy--"
"Yes." Kurt interrupted, then shouted out, "That WAS the scared little closet case!"
Everything happened too fast to register after that...
...mind me asking your story of finding me, then? :3
